A Call to Prayer
Several months ago the Lord laid upon my heart to call prayer warriors to come together for a common good to pray. He showed me that our President, leaders, those in authority, Israel, churches, Pastors and all teachers of the word and Christians need to be lifted up in prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 tells us to do so... " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings (Presidents) and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
In the times we live in, the enemy is working overtime to come against such people to cause chaos, tossing people to and fro, causing confusion, spinning a web of lies and mistruths, paranoia, doubt, hatred, anger, etc. We, as a people, need to come together to first sing the praises of our Lord, seek forgiveness, lift our leaders up, ask for the guidance and the direction of our Father and the Holy Spirit and that His hand of protection be upon all men and that His will be done in America, in Israel and throughout all the earth.
Although as Christians we need to stand for Truth and stand firm on God's Word, we also need to show Grace to those who are lost in the darkness of their own believes and idea's. Instead of judging others or being critical let's come together and pray that light be shed on the Truth of God and that ALL men come to know Him and live for Him so, just as is says in the above scripture, that we can live holy and godly lives.
1 Peter 2:17 says "Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king." Are we doing that? Even though we may disagree with others or even our President, do we honor them and love them? This is what we must do to live peaceful lives and have peaceful lands. Fearing God is having the upmost reverence and respect toward Him. When we do, we will do as He asks.
My final thought is this...Let's come together, pray together and stand together for the will of our God to come to pass in our Nation and the Nations around the world. I want to close with something that President Franklin D Roosevelt said, " I ask that our people devote themselves in a continuance of prayer. As we rise to each new day and again when each day is spent, let words of prayer be on our lips."
Until next time,
Kim
