A YEAR FOR TRANSFORMATION

I've been thinking a lot lately about what it truly means to be transformed. The reason why is because my heart is so heavy with wondering why there are so many proclaimed Christians and yet their lifestyles are so far from showing the world that they serve Him. When we give Jesus our hearts and make Him Savior and Lord our lives are transformed spiritually in an instant but we are to be working out our salvation from glory to glory until His return. To say Jesus is Lord but you are going around acting like the world is contrary to His Word. We are to be imitators of Him. Acting like Him, speaking like Him, loving like Him, forgiving like Him, and behaving like Him. We should be walking in the fullness of His joy and peace even in the midst of our trials and tribulations. We should walk in kindness and forgiveness even when someone hurts us. An angry or bitter heart is a heart that God needs to heal because He can't fulfill all He wants to give us when we are being led by the ways of our enemy. Are we perfect? No. Does God expect perfection? No. But, does He expect us to be walking toward a life that when people see us or hears us, they know we are His? YES! It does ALL Christians a disservice when we proclaim to be His but act like the devil. The only one we are fooling is ourselves. I had a conversation with my husband just the other day and told him how sad I was for lost people and even just as sad for those who are blinded by the fact that they are living a life that is not pleasing to our God. True change first starts in the heart but it continues to change you in your thinking, in your speech, in your behavior and that is just the beginning. I truly believed if we knew just how much God loved us, we would want to love Him in such a way that our life would show it to the world. If you truly believed you were the Righteousness of Christ you would not be able to live contrary to it. Righteous thinking brings holy living. This is something I think all of us need to pray about, seek our hearts and ask our God, our Lord, to bring light, His light to our dark places. It is only then that we can see things for what they truly are and then live the life He has called us to. God shared a Prophetic Word with me and I know in my spirit that He told me that 2019 would be a year of MORE! If we want all that He is in our lives, then we will walk out every day with Him first and foremost in our days, our weeks and even our year. Let’s make 2019 a year to seeking His truth so we can live out our lives purposefully so we can enjoy all the blessings He has instore for us! Happy New Year…

Until Next Time,

Kim
