Falling Forward

With today being the first day of Fall, it makes me think about all the times we fall down.  The falling down could be any combination of bad decisions or bad choices!  The issue isn't that we fall down, the problem would lie if we choose NOT to get back up!  Every time we fall, we must remember to get back up, brush off our knees and start anew.  Each day is a new start, a fresh beginning for the journey we are on. The Word says "The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;' - Psalm 34 19, and "though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand." - Psalm 37:24. 

Isn't it great to know that God is there to help us in our time of trouble?!? That should bring comfort to you!  There is nothing you have gone through or will go through that God can't resue you from.  As Christians, we just have to remember that God does not want us to continually looking back.  He wants us to press on to all that He has for us and to who we are in Him!  Phillipians 3:13-14 say "but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." So remember next time you stumble to not beat yourself up, instead, seek the Lord to help you, ask for forgiveness and move on!  Allow Him to change you to ALL He is calling you to be in HIM!
