Trust He is Good

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles,They shall run and not be weary,They shall walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) .

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him. - Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)

As I pondered about the above two scriptures that I shared with you this week, it made me think about all the goodness our God gives to us, the protection He provides for us and the shelter He covers us with. In Isaiah, the verse tells us if we wait on the Lord, (meaning to trust Him) it is in the trusting Him that we renew our strength in our most difficult times. And, when we continue to trust in Him, He will mount us up with wings of eagles. Did you see that?  He is comparing us to eagles and eagles soar! He is telling us that He will see to it that we rise up or go to a higher position or level. And, even in the most difficult of situations if we trust in Him, we will not become tired or quit! Our God can work through ALL of our situations, even the not so good ones for our good and His purposes. When we don't loose heart, He will make sure that we make it up the next rung on the ladder, that we soar above our situations and that we become better from what we just endured. So relax and REST in Him and allow Him to do what He promises to do.

Now, how about realizing all the good that God is!  He is our Father, our Brother, our Saviour, our Healer, our Provided, our Comforter, our Hope, our Joy, our Strength, our Peace, our Friend; I could go on and on. He is good just because of who He is! He is also good because of the love, grace and mercy He bestows upon us. He is good because of the life He gives us, the vey breath we breathe is because of Him, He is good for the food on our tables, the roof over our heads, the health that we walk in, the love we share, etc. I also know that there are some that may be saying "I am going through a hard time, is God still good"? I know many are going through pain or sickness in your body, a financial difficulty, or having a relationship issue. Is He still good? Of course He is!  Us going through hard times doesn't make God any less good. It's in times like these that we have to trust in the goodness of who He is and know that He will work out all things for His glory. Romans 8:28 says "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (KJV). I want you to say out loud, ALL Things! Let that sink in. If you Love God, if you are among the called (accepted Jesus as Lord and walking in His ways) then He will work all things out for your improvement, to make you better than you were before.  You see, God is wanting us to become more and more like His son. To be full of His Love and Forgiveness and Grace and Power! This is the point of our existence; to be like His son and to be His hands, feet and mouth piece in this world. To be the light in this dark age. He will work through the situations in our lives, the good and the bad, to bring us to a higher level in Him so we can be all He created us to be.

I don't know about you but this brings me so much joy and peace that ALL I have to do is trust and He does the rest! So the next time you are going through something, trust Him and allow Him to take you to higher heights in Him and show you His goodness! Are you going to let Him? Are you going to let the goodness of who He is to penetrate you and change you? I pray that each of us make a daily decision, in our walk with Him, to trust He will work ALL things out for us, in us and through us.

Until Next Time,

Kim
